The systron esX is a vertical seaming and grinding machine designed for fast glass edge processing. The system combines high processing quality, automated workflows and maximum flexibility in a compact machine solution.

With the new minimum glass size of 350 x 180 mm, the systron esX significantly expands its processing capabilities and now enables the efficient handling of particularly small glass formats.

Processing small glass formats places high demands on precision, process reliability and material handling in industrial glass production. The systron esX now reliably and reproducibly processes glass sizes starting from just 350 x 180 mm.

The system is suitable for both standard rectangular glass and complex glass contours with internal and external radii.

Seaming and Grinding Without Tool Changes

  • Sharp corners, arrissed corners, and radiused corners

A key advantage is the processing of glass thicknesses from 4 to 19 mm without tool changes. This reduces downtime and optimises production workflows.

The floating-mounted tool spindle allows the grinding head to precisely follow the glass contour — even in the case of undercuts or overbreaks. The result is consistent and high-quality edge processing with excellent process reliability.

Industrially Ground Glass Edges Through Multiple Processing Passes

For demanding applications, the systron esX offers the possibility of processing glass in multiple passes. This increases material removal and enables efficient production of industrially ground glass edges.

Depending on the application, processing can be carried out:

  • With multiple passes using the same tool
  • Combination of flat-segmented and V-shaped tools for maximum flexibility
