A gesture of solidarity: systron supports people with Down syndrome

Instead of traditional customer gifts, systron has once again decided to embrace the true spirit of Christmas – by making a donation of EUR 3,000 to the Down Syndrome Association Austria.
With this contribution, we want to express our gratitude while also reaffirming our commitment to social responsibility and inclusion.

„Within our company and our personal environment, we have close connections to the topic of inclusion – one of our employees has a child with a genetic condition, and several families in our wider circle have children with Down syndrome. Supporting this organisation is therefore particularly meaningful to us,” explains Doris Schachner.

The Down Syndrome Association Austria does outstanding work to empower people with Down syndrome and their families, to connect them with one another, and to provide meaningful opportunities for their future.

As part of the donation handover, we were pleased to welcome Ingrid Kolnberger and her daughter Marion to our headquarters in Wolfsbach.
Mrs. Kolnberger volunteers for the association, and her daughter Marion, who lives with Down syndrome, immediately impressed us with her warm, cheerful personality. Curious, lively, and full of interests, she works in a supported role, enjoys exercise, and even attends Zumba classes on a regular basis.

During their visit, mother and daughter offered us a moving insight into their everyday life and shared how important it is that people with Down syndrome in Austria today have so many opportunities to participate actively in society.

The Down Syndrome Association Austria has been advocating for families and individuals with Trisomy 21 for many years. The organisation provides information, counselling, networking opportunities, workshops, and nationwide initiatives that strengthen and support families.

With our Christmas donation, we want to contribute to the continuation and further development of this invaluable work.
