From Las Vegas to Düsseldorf and on to Istanbul: this autumn, systron is presenting its solutions for vertical glass processing and automation at three international trade shows. Following GlassBuild America in Las Vegas, the next stop is glasstec 2026 in Düsseldorf. The focus: the proMD Milling & Drilling Centre with Waterjet and its wide range of possibilities for processing glass and ceramics.
From October 20–23, 2026, the international glass industry will meet at glasstec in Düsseldorf. systron will be there in Hall 15, Booth E44, giving visitors an insight into the latest developments in vertical glass processing, CNC technology and automation.
One of the main highlights is the systron proMD Milling & Drilling Centre. The vertical processing system combines seaming, grinding, polishing, drilling, countersinking and milling in a single clamping process. An optional integrated waterjet further extends the processing possibilities for complex cut-outs and contours.
A key advantage is double-sided processing. Separate front and rear spindles enable drilling, countersinking and milling from both sides of the glass without turning or reclamping the workpiece. This allows different processing steps to be combined efficiently while reducing additional handling.
At the heart of the technology is systron’s patented water cushion combined with integrated force measurement. The glass is stabilized during processing without mechanical contact with sensitive or coated surfaces. The rear water cushion also acts as a counterholder, reduces vibrations and provides efficient cooling during drilling and deep countersinking.
Another topic at glasstec will be the possibilities of the proMD for ceramic processing. Applications range from internal and external edge processing to mitres, countersinking and rebate milling, as well as brushing, blind holes, drip grooves, engraving and complex contours.
Combined with the optional waterjet, the proMD provides a flexible technology platform for a wide range of processing applications in both glass and ceramics.
Another key focus at glasstec is automation. systron looks beyond the individual processing machine, developing automated solutions that connect loading, processing, buffering, sorting and unloading into a continuous production flow.
The portfolio ranges from portal loading and storage systems to robot loading, harp rack and L-rack automation. Depending on individual production requirements, glass supply, intermediate buffering, sorting as well as loading and unloading can be automated – creating the basis for highly automated and unmanned production.

glasstec follows directly after another important international trade show for systron. In September, systron was represented at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas together with its U.S. partner IGE.
The event provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with customers and industry professionals from the North American market and to discuss current developments in glass processing and automation. Another important topic was the upcoming first installation of a systron proMD in the United States.
After Düsseldorf, systron’s international trade show season continues. From November 21–24, 2026, systron will also be represented at Glass Eurasia in Istanbul.
