systron-Premiere at glasstec: A Milestone for the 10th Anniversary

In a significant move, we will celebrated our 10th anniversary by making our debut at the glasstec in Düsseldorf from 22-25 October 2024. For the first time, we were presenting our comprehensive range of machines at an own systron booth, setting new benchmarks for both the glass and ceramics industries.

All-In-One proHD System for Glass and Ceramics

At the centre of our systron stand was the flagship product, the vertical glass processing centre proHD with waterjet technology. This globally unique machine combines various processing technologies within a compact tower, establishing new standards in the industry.

„The combination of CNC technology and integrated waterjet is a real game changer in glass, but furthermore in ceramics processing. While waterjet cutting is widely used in the ceramics industry, there has been no vertical machine capable of fully processing products like kitchen countertops or façade elements in a single setup,”

explains Thomas Haan, Head of Sales at systron and the driving force behind the “proHD CERAMICS” project.

Comprehensive Processing Capabilities

The proHD offers an impressive range of processing capabilities, opening new possibilities for both the glass and ceramics industries. These include:

  • Rough and fine edge grinding
  • Edge polishing
  • Interior processing with waterjet and diamond tools
  • Miter grinding
  • Seaming of complex interior contours
  • Rebate milling
  • Blind hole drilling with or without relief
  • Brushing
  • Drip groove grinding and engraving
  • Removal of fiberglass mesh

This flexibility allows not only the handling of traditional processing tasks but also innovative procedures like rebate milling on glass or automatic edge removal for cutouts.

Upgraded systron pro: More Efficiency and Faster ROI

In addition to the proHD, we were also presenting the newly designed version of our systron pro edge processing machine, which is now more efficient and cost-effective. Significant improvements were achieved through the redesign:

  • Faster: Cycle times have been noticeably reduced by shifting the measuring, sharpening, and honing devices to the Y-axis.
  • More Compact: The machine’s X-axis has been shortened by 2.3 meters due to certain adjustments (model 5027).
  • More Cost-Effective: The sales price has been significantly lowered by reducing from two Y-axes to one and introducing an innovative pneumatic concept.

Automation as a Key Advantage

Another highlight of our systron-range are automation solutions, enabling production processes to run unattended for several hours.

By using automated L-racks, harp racks, in-line storage systems, or robots, production can be increased by up to 40% while simultaneously enhancing quality by minimizing manual handling.

For example, systron customers operating in two shifts can run the third shift unattended, achieving optimal utilization and gaining a significant competitive advantage.

Of course, the systron esX seaming and grinding machine and the systron LOOP system for edges in cup wheel polishing quality were also presented at glasstec.

Our systron booth was placed in Hall 15 – Stand Number E70.

Thank you to everyone who visited our systron booth at glasstec! We enjoyed the inspiring conversations and look forward to staying connected.
